Stroke Symptoms

STROKE SYMPTOMS
During a BBQ, a friend fall - she assured everyone that comes if he is okay and he just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes (they offered to call paramedics). They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. Although it looks a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying afternoon. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6 pm the next day, Ingrid passed away.)
She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. If only they knewhow to recognize the signs of a stroke perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. It only takes a minute to read this.
A neurologist says that if he can help a stroke victim within 3 hours after the attack, he can reverse the effects of a stroke in total! He said the trick is to recognize and diagnose stroke within 3 hours since the assault, which is actually a difficult thing.
IDENTIFYING STROKE
Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.
Unfortunately, the lack of vigilance can be disastrous. The stroke victim may suffer brain damage when people are nearby at the time of the incident, failed to recognize the symptoms of stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander canrecognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
  1. Ask the individual to SMILE.
  2. Ask the person to LIFT BOTH HANDS.
  3. Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently), for example: "Today is sunny." Blablabla ....
If the person is not able to do what we asked for one of the above or immediately brought to the nearest hospital to get further first aid.
Be a friend andshare this article with your friends as much as possible to, you could have saved their lives.

Definite Thing that is Cause Stroke

One study found that high blood pressure, smoking, abdominal fat, poor diet, lack of physical activity, high levels of bad cholesterol, diabetes, drinking too much alcohol, stress, and heart problems account for 90 percent of the causes of stroke.

Research conducted by a team at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada is one of the most comprehensive study of the causes of stroke.

They say, the highest factor was high blood pressure, the risk doubled.

Approximately 150,000 people in the UK suffer a stroke each year and about 67,000 are at risk of death. It is also a major cause of disability.

The study, published in The Lancet and presented at the World Congress of Cardiology in Beijing, examined 3,000 people and 3,000 stroke patients who did not suffer a stroke.

They were questioned about their lifestyles, such as how much they drink, exercise and diet often they do they are measured according to their health and some tests and measurements performed by professionals.

They are categorized drinkers if meraka former drinkers, moderate drinkers of one to 30 drinks a month. More than 30 drinks a month and binge drinking were conducted more than five drinks a day in the previous month.

They are classified into active sportsman if they routinely walks, cycling, gardening, jogging, playing football or vigorous swimming for four hours a week or more.

These findings suggest that smokers double the risk of stroke, poor diet have an increased risk of 35 percent, more than 30 times a month drinking alcoholic beverages have an increased risk of 50 percent, 30 percent the risk of stress and depression by 35 percent.

More activity can reduce the risk of about 30 percent.

Martin O'Donnell, lead author said that the findings suggest that ten simple risk factors associated with 90% of the risk of ischemic stroke and intracerebral haemorrhagic worldwide.

"This research is targeted to reduce blood pressure and smoking, and promote physical activity and healthy foods, which can substantially reduce the risk of stroke," said O'Donnell.

As reported by the Telegraph, Andrea Lane, a spokesman for the Stroke Association said that over the years there are few research studies the causes of stroke, which has identified a number of major risk factors.

"This is research done widely and deeply, to support some previous findings and reflect prevention advice presented by the Stroke Association." (Rebecca Smith / telegraph / sua)

How to Prevent Stroke

Up to 80 percent of all strokes are preventable, the risk is reduced immediately.

Although a stroke can happen to anyone, certain risk factors increase the risk of stroke. However, studies show that up to 80 percent of strokes to reduce by working with caregivers personal risk can be prevented. It is important to personal risks and how to recognize and treat the signs and symptoms of the disease better deal. Discover over 20 interactive major risk factors for stroke with interactive tools of risk.

Guidelines for the prevention of stroke

Stroke prevention guidelines are intended to help you learn how to get your stroke risk reduction.

Established National Stroke Association Stroke Prevention Advisory Board, an elite group of leading experts in the nation on the prevention of stroke stroke prevention guidelines first. They were published in a 1999 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and have been updated to reflect the current medical standards.

Talk to a doctor and follow the instructions.

Knowledge blood pressure (hypertension)

High blood pressure is a major risk factor for stroke, if not treated. Have blood pressure checked annually by a physician or health fairs, pharmacy or supermarket or with an automatic sphygmomanometer.

Identification of atrial fibrillation (AF)

Atrial fibrillation is a heart rhythm disorder that increases the risk of stroke by 500%. Atrial fibrillation can form in the heart and the blood clots and cause a stroke. A doctor must diagnose and treat atrial fibrillation.

Stop Smoking

Smoking doubles the risk of stroke. It damages the walls of blood vessels, faster clogged arteries, increases blood pressure and makes the heart work harder.

Control over the use of alcohol

Alcohol is brought to pass in some studies in combination. Most doctors advise not to drink or drink in moderation - no more than two drinks per day.

Knowledge cholesterol

Cholesterol is a fat-like substance in the blood, which is produced by the body. It also comes in foods. High cholesterol can clog arteries and cause a stroke. Consult a doctor if your total cholesterol is over 200.

Diabetes Control

Many people with diabetes have health problems. Also risk factors for stroke, a doctor and a nutritionist can help diabetes.

Entry Training / Nutrition

Overweight loads the bloodstream. Exercise five times a week. Maintain a diet low in calories, salt, saturated fats and trans fats and cholesterol. Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables per day.

Treat circulatory problems

Fat deposits can clog the arteries that supply blood to the brains and cause a stroke. Other problems such as sickle cell anemia and severe anemia.

Transient ischemic attack (TIA)

A TIA is a temporary episode of stroke-like symptoms that may last from a few minutes to 24 hours, but usually does not cause permanent damage or disability. TIA and stroke same phenomena. Detection and treatment of TIA can reduce your risk of stroke. Up to 40 percent of people may experience a TIA stroke.

How The Brain Functions

John Medina, author of Brain Rules the: Principles for Thriving at Work, Home and School explains stout things about how the human brain works. This book is very interesting though thick with views of evolution, perhaps because John is a molecular biologist.

Before discussing about the workings of the human brain in the book Brain Rules, it helps me to inform you that we can get a free explanation complete with presentation and video on BrainRules.net. Please conductivity your eyes to that site if your brain is filled with smoke curious.

In the book John wrote much about the workings of the human brain, but your brain will melt and come out of the ears if I wrote it all. Therefore I try to present a summary of the 12 ways fistful human brain works according to the book Brain Rules. Here's how the human brain works:

1. Exercise Can Increase Brain Capability

When you exercise or just move their bodies (like gymnastics because I have to), blood will be pumped to the brain, carry oxygen and glucose.

Well, from here we can figure out why when college we always feel bored in class, that is because we just sat there staring at the back of lecturers who are violent taking up space on the board. Sit quietly and it reduces the supply of oxygen to the brain. And so, as the lectures of professors evaporated vaporized from our mouths gaping wide open. Uuaaah .....

In addition to improving the ability of the brain, exercise is also able to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's and dementia (decline in brain capacity).

2. Also Brain Adapt and Evolve

Changes in natural (natural and social) that occur on earth has always been selfish in living things, because it's human as one part of a living being should be able to adapt to the changes that occur. Of course, the main organ is the brain responds to these changes. Why? Because the human brain continues to grow to learn, understand and resolve issues. Whether it is problems in interacting with nature or with other human beings. That's why the human brain is required to always be effective in adapting or even evolve, especially when dealing with issues of social or environmental change.

In terms of effectiveness, John meant that the human brain must be able to adapt and evolve significantly and it is reflected in the human ability to understand and resolve issues also build relationships with others.

For example, within the scope of social change, the human brain must be able to adapt when entering new territory with new ones because if the human brain can not comprehend the social environment then everything will be ineffective. An office worker can not work effectively if the brain is not able to adapt to the office environment.

3. Each Brain Composed By contrast

Nexus nerves in the human brain will continue to wake up but at the same time there was also a series of outages. Disconnect this connection (really like the song yes) causes the human brain is very dynamic or not stop growing, both physically and brain structures.

The dynamics of the human brain that occur due to a variety of events and experiences of everyday experience. That's why there is not one human has the same brains in the world. Everything is arranged differently, depending on the stimuli, events and experiences that the owner of the brain.

4. Human Brain Has Concentration Limits

The human brain can only focus on something for 10 minutes. That's why when listening to lectures, speeches or presentations we get bored quickly and directly grab something to distract, for example BB :-)

So if you have a chance to explain something to a person or audience, you get used to refresh the audience's brain every 10 minutes, for example, opens with a joke or a question and answer session.

What is a stroke

What is a Stroke?

A stroke, or cerebrovascular accident (CVA), occurs when blood supply to part of the brain is disrupted, causing brain cells to die. When blood flow to the brain is interrupted or blocked, oxygen and glucose can not be delivered to the brain. Blood flow can be compromised by a variety of mechanisms.

Barriers / obstacles of an artery

The narrowing of the small arteries within the brain can cause a lacunar stroke called, (lacune = empty space). Barriers / obstacles of a single arteriole can affect a tiny area of brain causing that tissue to die (infarct).

Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis) leading to the brain. There are four major blood vessels that supply the brain with blood. The anterior circulation of the brain that controls most motor activity, sensation, thought, speech, and emotion is supplied by the carotid arteries. Posterior circulation, which supplies the brain (brainstem) and the cerebellum, which controls the automatic parts of brain function and coordination, is supplied by the vertebrobasilar arteries. If these arteries become narrow as a result of atherosclerosis, plaque or cholesterol, debris (debris) can come loose and float downstream, clogging the blood supply to a part of the brain. Contrary to lacunar strokes, the portions were bigger than the brain can lose blood supply, and this may produce more symptoms than a lacunar stroke.

Embolism to the brain from the heart. In situations where blood clots form in the heart, there is the potential for small clots broke off and running (embolize) to the arteries in the brain and cause a stroke.

Rupture of an artery (hemorrhage)

Cerebral hemorrhage (bleeding within the brain substance). The most common cause of bleeding in the brain gain is high blood pressure that is not controlled. Other situations include aneurysms that leak or rupture or arteriovenous malformations (AVM) in which there is an abnormal collection of blood vessels are fragile and can bleed.
Although stroke is often viewed as a disease of the elderly, it sometimes affects younger individuals. The incidence of stroke does increase with age, but nearly a quarter of all strokes occur in people under the age of 60.
